Pyrrhic House
Alastair was first published in 1989 (at the tender age of 17) with the modest effort known as ‘1839 - 1989: A Short History Of The Hereford & Worcester Area Chamber Of Commerce and Industry’. Starting from that foundation, he has always believed that a book does not have to be a best-seller to be valuable; nor does it have to be published by Random House to reach its audience.
With this in mind, LPA will shortly begin providing self-publishing and other authors’ services under the imprint of Pyrrhic House. These will include
- Typesetting
- Printer liaison
- Document preparation
- Artwork sourcing
- Cover design
- Research
Our proofreading and editing services will, of course, continue as always, meaning authors will be able to come to LPA as a ‘one-stop shop’ for their self-publishing needs. This website will also be expanded to include a sales outlet for works published in association with the Pyrrhic House name, although self-publishers should expect, as usual, to undertake their own promotion and marketing. This is to enable LPA to continue to provide its core services as a priority.
